Cyril by Urbaneo apartment building in energy class A

What is the energy performance of buildings (PENB)?

The energy performance of buildings is expressed by the so-called PENB – the building energy performance certificate. This classifies buildings into categories A-G according to how much energy they use to operate:

  • A = extremely energy efficient building
  • G = very wasteful building

The closer the building is to the “A”, the less energy it needs for heating, cooling, water heating or lighting. This means not only saving money, but also more comfortable living.
