Sovova won the Building of the Year in the Capital City of Prague 2025

Award for the Building of the Year of the Capital City of Prague 2025

Sovova 3

The Sovova Residence wins another important award, this time from the BUILDING OF THE YEAR OF THE CAPITAL CITY OF PRAGUE 2025 competition. The award once again confirms that the direction we have been taking at Urbaneo for a long time, namely to work sensitively with the houses, the location and the everyday comfort of future tenants, is the right one. We would like to thank all the partners, architects, suppliers and colleagues who participated in the project and helped turn this vision into reality.

The Sovova 3 project in Prague’s Karlín was created by completely reconstructing a historic house from 1909. The goal was to preserve its original character while adding the current standard of ready-to-live rental housing. The house has 15 fully equipped apartments, combining modern technology, quality materials, thoughtful layouts and details that support well-being. The Sovova residence is further proof for us that quality rental housing can have ambition, character and long-term value.

Gala evening City in Motion

The results were announced as part of the City on the Move gala evening, which presented the best buildings in the capital city of Prague and the best urban projects from across the Czech Republic. The gala evening took place in the Fanta Hall of the Fanta Building at Prague’s main railway station and was part of the 33rd annual nationwide competition, Building of the Year. The competition is announced and organized by the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Civil Engineering in cooperation with professional institutions and its goal is to draw attention to high-quality projects that have architectural, construction and social value.
